Control Techniques

We are very excited to announce that we are now working with Control Techniques.  We will be updating this page as we design and develop bespoke, innovative and reliable application solutions comprising of Control Techniques components. 

Control Techniques started as a company local to us; founded in 1972 in Wales under the acronym KTK. 

Control Techniques are part of the Nidec Group and create a range of high-quality AC drives and motors, Servo drives and DC drives and motors.  This range of motors offers high performance motor control in a compact size device, with a robust design for reliable usage.  The range of click-in option modules ensure easy scalability of design, allowing your application to grow with your business.

This extruder application was designed and built for one of our OEM customers and required UL 508a certification for dispatch to the USA. Find out more about what our UL 508a certification means.

This application consisted of a Control Techniques Unidrive M700 250kW variable speed drive, within a Rittal VX bayed control panel with Blue-E cooling unit. Control Techniques Unidrive M is specifically designed with industrial applications in mind; with the Unidrive M700 providing class-leading motor control for induction, permanent magnet and servo motor applications.
